Understand how Alæc uses context
Connect the account, organization, conversation, project, and Office item to the active request.
In this article
Context is the set of authorized information surrounding a request. It is not an automatic copy of every data item you might be able to access.
Context layers
- The account and affiliation determine your identity and active organization.
- The conversation retains its visible thread, requests, and responses.
- The workspace or project space adds only its authorized scope.
- In Word or Outlook, the active document, selection, or email adds host-specific context.
- Files and sources must be explicitly available in the scope being used.
Practical guidance
Context can change when you switch account, organization, conversation, project side or active Office item. Recheck the visible indicators at each transition. A previously available attachment or source may no longer belong to the new request’s authorized scope.
Advanced tips
State the intended evidence boundary explicitly: for example, use the selected project documents and identify any missing information. This is clearer than assuming that the assistant should combine all accessible projects or earlier conversations.
