Review Outlook operation results
Confirm whether text was applied, a compose window was opened, or the action failed.
In this article
- Applied to compose
- Content was inserted into the active body; it must be reviewed before sending.
- Window opened, body pending
- Outlook opened a reply or new message and is continuing to apply the proposed body.
- Partial
- Part of the operation succeeded, but another result or step failed.
- Unsupported or failed
- Item mode, client, body size, or a required API does not allow the action.
Recover without creating duplicate drafts
Read the final operation card and compare it with the requested action. A conversation answer, an opened window and applied body content are different outcomes.
Inspect the draft in Outlook. If the text is already present, do not reapply it while waiting for a confirmation to recover.
If the result is partial, identify the failed step and preserve the successful part. If the active email changed, return to the relevant conversation before retrying.
Advanced tips
- Use a short demonstration passage to confirm an unfamiliar operation before applying it to a long deliverable. Check the actual host result, not only the chat response.
- Keep the source, requested change and reviewed result distinguishable. If the active document or email changes, confirm the context again before applying anything.
