Manage project-space keywords and parameters
Use available catalogs, value types, and units to structure confirmed mandate data.
In this article
Choose the right data type
- Keyword
- A catalog value used to classify or find a project using an approved concept.
- Parameter
- A structured property with a type, a value, and, when required, a compatible unit.
- Unit
- A measurement compatible with the parameter. Do not replace it with free text when the selector requires a unit.
Add and verify
Search for the existing value in the selector first.
For a parameter, confirm the value type before entering a number, date, amount, or text.
Choose only a unit offered as compatible.
Decide whether the item must remain private or be placed on the shared side.
Save, then reread the displayed value and unit.
Practical guidance
Keywords classify the project; parameters carry values that can influence its outputs. Use the offered catalog choices, check units and scope, and save confirmed values. A missing choice may reflect the active catalog or your permissions. Do not substitute a similar label merely to complete the form.
Advanced tips
Before regenerating a document after a parameter change, identify which inputs changed and retain the previous approved output. Compare affected sections explicitly: updating a project value does not retroactively revise previously generated files.
