The New project form groups the core information and location needed to create the project on a single screen. More advanced information is added later in the project context.

Information to provide

Name
A descriptive name that makes the project easy to recognize.
Sector
The activity sector associated with the mandate.
Dates
A required start date and an end date when known or applicable.
Status
The project’s current state selected from the available list.
Comment
Short, lasting complementary information when needed.
Location
The project address, selected through search or directly on the map. Coordinates and geographic fields are then populated.
  1. Select “New project”.

  2. Enter the project name and choose its sector.

  3. Enter the appropriate dates and status.

  4. Add a comment only when it provides useful information.

  5. Search for the address or choose the location on the map.

  6. Review the information, then save the project.

Prepare a reliable project

  • Use the name and number from your organization’s official system.
  • Distinguish planned, actual, and contractual dates; do not silently replace an unknown date with an estimate.
  • Choose a status that describes the assignment’s current state rather than a future intention.
  • Verify the address, municipality, and map location when they affect project requirements.
  • Limit the comment to useful details that do not already have a structured field.

After saving

  1. Reopen the project and confirm that its name, dates, status, and location were saved correctly.

  2. Add authorized organizations and collaborators in the intended sections.

  3. Complete keywords and parameters that support classification and understanding of the assignment.

  4. Add only authorized documents and verify their version before using them as context.

  5. Correct the project when the official source changes so conversations do not rely on outdated information.

Practical guidance

Search for the project before creating another record. Confirm the organization, code and name, then complete the fields required by the current form. Creation establishes a project space; it does not automatically populate its participants, documents or approved narrative. Open the new space and review each section separately.

Advanced tips

If saving appears to time out, search again using the exact code before retrying creation. A record may have been created even when the following refresh failed. Keep the existing record and correct its missing fields instead of creating a second project.
