Understand Alæc knowledge scopes
Distinguish conversation, workspace, project, organization, personal, and external sources.
In this article
- Conversation
- Files and context added to the active exchange.
- Workspace
- Library, instructions, and context shared with its authorized members.
- Project
- Documents, data, and memory attached to the private or shared side of the project.
- Organization or personal
- Knowledge offered by active configuration and permissions, without automatic inclusion.
- External
- A source from a connected service or the Web when an authorized feature uses it.
Practical guidance
Conversation attachments, project resources and workspace library items are distinct sources of context. Check where a file was added and which project or workspace is associated with the exchange. Membership, selected scope and resource availability constrain what can be used; a familiar filename does not establish access to all its copies.
Advanced tips
When testing whether a source can inform a response, ask a narrow question and verify the returned provenance. Do not infer global memory or cross-organization search from one successful answer. Keep separate projects and confidential audiences separated in both associations and attachments.
