Share a response or continue in a new chat
Choose among copying, sharing, or creating a branch after verifying content and scope.
In this article
Choose the action
- Copy
- Places available text on the clipboard for a use you control.
- Share
- Prepares a sharing action when available. Always verify content and authorized recipients.
- New chat
- Creates a branch from the response to explore another objective without directly continuing the original thread.
Verify the new scope
- Remove information unnecessary for the recipient or new objective.
- Confirm whether sources, attachments, and project associations actually carry into the new conversation.
- Repeat essential constraints not visible in the new context.
- Verify the result after copying or branching.
Practical guidance
Sharing a response uses the browser’s sharing facility when supported, with a clipboard fallback. This differs from sharing a conversation through its own dialog. Branching is offered only when the response and its source turn support that action.
Advanced tips
Inspect the actual shared or copied text before transmitting it. A branch provides a new place to continue, but you should verify its attachments and associations rather than assuming that every resource or permission was duplicated.
