Manage a conversation from its menu
Share, rename, associate, pin, or delete a conversation from the sidebar.
In this article
The three-dot menu for a conversation groups the actions available for that conversation. Active commands may vary depending on your environment.
- Share: sends the conversation when this feature is available.
- Start a team conversation: this menu entry is currently disabled.
- Rename: changes the title displayed in history.
- Associate with projects: links the conversation to one or more projects.
- Pin chat: keeps an important conversation easier to access.
- Archive: removes the conversation from the current list without deleting it when this feature is available.
- Delete: removes the conversation after confirmation.
- Associate with workspaces: links the conversation to eligible workspaces when your permissions allow it.
Check the effect before confirming
- Rename
- Choose a title that clearly distinguishes the assignment, subject, and intended result without exposing unnecessary confidential information.
- Associate with projects
- Make the relationship between the conversation and one or more relevant project spaces explicit; verify the selection before saving.
- Pin
- Keep a frequently used exchange more visible without changing its content, permissions, or project association.
- Archive or delete
- Confirm that useful information has been retained in the correct place and carefully read the presented confirmation before continuing.
Practical guidance
The menu includes workspace association when your conversation allows it, as well as project association. Archive can be reversed with Unarchive. The Start a group conversation item is currently disabled in this menu; its presence is not a usable workflow.
Advanced tips
Use rename for organization, association for context, and archive for list management. Check available sharing controls separately; none of these organizational actions should be assumed to grant another person access to the chat.
