Configure the personal project

  1. Give it a name and description tied to one precise personal objective.

  2. Add persistent instructions only when they suit every chat in the project.

  3. Add authorized files needed for that objective.

  4. Choose the displayed memory mode and read its exclusions.

  5. Create or move appropriate conversations, then verify their displayed project.

Personal-project boundaries

  • It does not establish the organizations, roles, and governed data of a project space.
  • It does not automatically make chats or files available to an organization.
  • Any transition to sharing must be explicit and preceded by content review.
  • The word project in its name does not replace the code or identity of an organizational mandate.

Practical guidance

Personal projects reuse collaboration controls but keep a distinct personal scope. Their memory choices are Default and Project only where editable; sharing can lock that choice. Instructions, files and associated conversations should all support the same personal objective.

Advanced tips

Before sharing or associating existing chats, inspect their earlier messages and attachments, not just their latest result. A clean final answer does not imply that the preceding conversation is appropriate for the new audience.
