Review the sources

  1. Open the response Sources pane or the reference associated with a passage.

  2. Confirm the title, origin, and date or version when that information is available.

  3. Open the authorized content and find the passage supporting the important claim.

  4. Compare the response wording with the source’s actual scope.

  5. Explicitly note claims with no visible source or with insufficient support.

Source, citation, and evidence

Source
An item retrieved or used during processing and displayed as response context.
Citation
A visible link between a response passage and one or more sources.
Complete evidence
A conclusion that often requires broader analysis than the displayed source list alone. Alæc does not guarantee it automatically.

Verify a conclusion, not just a link

Start with the statement that matters to your decision. Open its citation, identify the exact passage and check whether the document version, date and scope support that statement. A retrieved source can be relevant background without proving the conclusion. If the preview cannot open, do not treat its title as sufficient evidence.

Advanced tips

  • Build a review table with claim, source, passage, version and unresolved issue. This exposes unsupported conclusions more clearly than a long bibliography.
  • When sources conflict, ask for both positions and their applicability. For standards, verify edition and jurisdiction; for project data, verify revision and approval status.
  • Separate public research from private project evidence in the requested output. Access to a document does not authorize distributing it to the final audience.
