Generate a quotation
Check quotation-generation availability and prepare the commercial inputs that need verification.

Understand the expected result
When generation becomes available, the produced document must be treated as a working version based on information available at processing time. It will not replace the official calculation, contractual terms, or approval required by your organization.
Review the produced quotation
Confirm the client, project, service scope, and version of the data used.
Recalculate quantities, rates, subtotals, taxes, and total from the authorized source.
Verify exclusions, assumptions, deadlines, payment terms, and validity period.
Check contact details, units, currencies, reference numbers, and recipients.
Obtain approval for the final version and retain it in the designated official system.
Practical guidance
First confirm that quotation generation is actually offered in your environment. An instruction in chat or an available project record does not prove that a quotation-producing workflow exists. Prepare the project reference and confirmed commercial inputs, then follow the supported process; use the organization’s approved manual workflow when generation is unavailable.
Advanced tips
Keep pricing assumptions separate from verified project facts. If an output contains an amount without a traceable approved basis, return it for correction rather than assuming the project number supplied a complete commercial estimate.
